Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)

There are several ways in aviation to become a commercial pilot. The best way to get a pilot license is do to a course that ends with the ATPL License. Minimum age for obtaining the license is 21 years. You can either achieve the license in a modular or in the integrated system. Both ways differ in the structure. When you study in the modular way you are much more flexible and spread your learnings over a longer time span. Furthermore the costs are much lower than in the integrated system. The downside is that you need to take more self responsibility for your learning progress. The integrated course lets you finish normally within 18 - 24 month. After this period you achieve the ‚Frozen Airline Transport Pilots License (ATPL). After that there will be further qualifications for specific aircraft - called type rating - with this you are eligible to work as a First Officer.
